Capital Football’s Referee Welfare Program has been established to improve the support available to Referees on and off the field to improve the mental health and overall wellbeing of all Match Officials.
This page lists the contact details of external and internal support services that Capital Football recommends should any Match Official be struggling with their mental wellbeing, or need to speak to someone about any on-field or off-field issue that requires support.

MEMBER PROTECTION INFORMATION OFFICERS (MPIO)
A MPIO can assist you in providing information about the rights, responsibilities and options available to you should you wish to make a complaint against a person or organisation that is in breach of Football Federation Australia’s Member Protection Policy.
You can also contact a MPIO should you feel unsafe, or need someone to speak to about any on-field or off-field incidents, or require any other support.

SPORTS CHAPLAINCY AUSTRALIA
Peter is a specially trained volunteer who is available for you to contact should you find yourself going through a tough time personally or struggling to cope with the mental pressures of being a referee.
You can contact Peter directly, a neutral person with whom you can ‘off load’ privately and confidentially, to discuss any issues including difficult life circumstances, grief and loss, trauma, sickness and injury, ethical questions, refereeing issues and home and personal issues.
